You do not need to go into the office on Friday morning, so please plan to arrive at Beaver Run on Friday with enough time to be ready around 11:30am for lunch. Our CLE programming begins at 12:00pm for EchoStar employees and outside counsel—your significant other can check out this page if they need ideas for the afternoon.

Friday Day: Casual/business casual (jeans are okay) is acceptable attire for lunch and CLE presentations on Friday.

Friday Evening: Elevated business casual is recommended for our employee and outside counsel dinner and murder mystery on Friday evening.

Saturday Day: Casual/business casual is fine for brunch. Please refer to the the attached flyers for attire recommendations for your designated Saturday activity.

Saturday Evening: You and your guest are encouraged to wear Festive Resort Cocktail attire for the "Night at The Copacabana" dinner and casino night on Saturday.

Mountain Environment Tips

• Layer Up: High-altitude weather shifts quickly. Expect warm, sun-filled days and crisp, cool mornings and nights. Bring a light jacket, sweater, or blazer for nighttime transitions. And of course, check the weather before the trip and adjust as necessary.

• Sun & Weather: At 9,600 feet, UV rays are intense and weather moves fast. Pack sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and a light rain jacket or umbrella for sudden afternoon showers.

• Pool & Amenities: Don't forget your swimsuit and sandals to enjoy Beaver Run's pools and hot tubs!

Our dinner on Friday night is only for EchoStar employees and outside counsel.

Breckenridge has great dining options for your significant others and we encourage them to meet each other on Friday afternoon while employees and outside counsel are attending CLEs. Perhaps some of them will be able to form small groups and make dinner plans for Friday night at one of the restaurants in town. They can also visit this page for ideas of things to do in Breck.

Your guest is more than welcome to join us for the Friday Night Afterparty at Base Nine Bar starting at 9:00 pm.

Unfortunately not—the events at the retreat are only for EchoStar employees, outside counsel, and on Saturday night, your designated significant other is also welcome to attend.

Many of the activities on Saturday are great for the whole family. Although the costs for activities (if applicable) are only covered for you and your significant other, you are welcome to purchase your own tickets for your children if they will be with you.

Our activities start at various times and many include a commute. Please be sure to review all of the details for your designated activity in advance and plan accordingly. Even if you think you’re sure, please double check times and locations as we don’t want you to miss your activity.

The contact information for the members of the Retreat Committee is available on the Who’s Who? page. We will do our best to deal with issues that arise, but there are things that are out of our control with a retreat of this size, so please be patient if things aren’t perfect.

EchoStar will be covering the cost of parking one car per employee/outside counsel. If you come in multiple cars, you will be responsible for the cost of parking your additional car.

While a couple of the activities will require you to arrange your own transportation, getting around Breckenridge is otherwise easy, convenient, and mostly free—making it simple to go carless once you arrive. Here are the best options for navigating town:

• Beaver Run Resort Shuttle: Beaver Run offers a free in-town shuttle for lodging guests. Hours and staffing may vary, so be sure to check ahead or request a shuttle via the Beaver Run App.

• Breckenridge Free Ride Bus: The town’s free public transit system serves most of Breckenridge, including the Main Street Trolley. You can view the Free Ride Routes & Schedules for system maps and timetables.

• Walking & Biking: Historic downtown Breckenridge is extremely walkable and bike-friendly, with most shops, dining, and attractions just a short stroll away. E-bike shares are also available throughout town.

• Transit to Trails: Accessing outdoor recreation without a car is easy. Free Ride buses stop near popular trailheads and feature bike racks on each bus, while Summit Stage offers dedicated Transit to Trails connections.

• County-Wide Transit (Summit Stage): If you plan to explore beyond Breckenridge, the Summit Stage is a free county-wide bus system providing transportation to neighboring towns throughout Summit County.

• Rideshares & Taxis: Uber, Lyft, and local taxi services operate throughout the area for point-to-point travel.

If you chose the Gondola Ride, Adventure Pass, or Mountain Biking for your activity, lunch vouchers will be provided for Saturday.

Beaver Run offers a limited number of dog-friendly units within our group block. You must call reservations directly at 800-525-2253 in advance to request a pet-friendly room (subject to availability). Guests must review Beaver Run’s Dog-Friendly Rules & Regulations prior to arrival. Please note that additional dog fees are the guest's responsibility and are not covered by EchoStar.

Yes! Electric vehicle charging is available both on-property at Beaver Run and at multiple public locations throughout town:

• At Beaver Run Resort: Lodging guests can access EV charging stations located in the underground parking garage on Level G4 and Level G5.

• Around Breckenridge: The Town of Breckenridge offers public EV charging ports at convenient locations around town, including a large cluster of charging stations at the South Gondola Parking Structure on Park Avenue.

We are in the process of seeking CLE accreditation in Colorado for the Friday programs. Please check back in the weeks following the retreat for the Colorado CLE Certificate, which we will post here (and also will send via email). You will need to use the Course ID number to self-report in Colorado using the Colorado CLE Track system.

If you would like to seek accreditation in a different state, you are welcome to try to do so. Please check with each state for information about how to go about doing so. If you need additional documentation, please let us know.

Yes, if you are driving to the retreat, EchoStar will reimburse EchoStar employees for mileage. Although you may leave from home on Friday morning, mileage is generally calculated from the office to the hotel. Please submit expense reports promptly after you return from the retreat.
